Mahen began working at Net-Mastery in November 2005. In the period Mahen has worked with us his skill and dedication has been an asset to our company. He is highly competent using a range of software design programs and has a specialist degree of skill and experience in website design work.

Net-Mastery is a web design and internet consulting service that develops and maintains online strategies for businesses across Australia. Services include customized website design, online content management, e-commerce solutions, search engine optimization, hosting and domain management and registration, pay per click web promotion with targeted sponsor links, and update and maintenance strategies. Net-mastery’s clients are from a range of industries including real estate, clubs, hospitality, retail, construction and manufacturers and wholesalers. Net-mastery has completed over 100 web projects to date.

Throughout the course of his employment with us, Mahen’s responsibilities as a Web Designer and Developer have included:

• Design and development of new websites and Web based Applications according to the client requirements and deadlines.
• Developing software capabilities and modifications to meet client needs.
• Analysing existing client software and ensuring compatibility with new technologies.
• Testing website designs for consistency, accessibility and optimal search engine listing.

• Maintaining and updating web capabilities including domain registration, email database account systems, and e-commerce functions.

• Writing, testing and maintaining new software functions for internet capabilities.

Urban Boheme Re-Design Project

Mahen was employed on a contractual basis at Urbane Boheme as the Leading Web Developer. He began work with us in January 2006 in Sydney Office as a web developer. Later became the senior and the leading web developer of the global Urban Boheme work force.   

Mahen possesses the skills and experience of a highly competent well experienced Web Developer and I have no hesitation in supporting his future in that capacity. 

Mahen’s duties and responsibilities as a Web Developer included:

• Completely redesigning and developing the current website, with a particular focus upon the E-commerce sales section in design.
• Designing and developing the new website and its web applications according to the expanding global requirements of the company. Including content management systems, affiliate management systems, e-commerce based applications, payment gateway integrations with secure payment processing and many more custom modules focused on the large scale global audience.
• Testing, developing and modifying Web Application Development programs,
• Performing system analyst functions to identify systemic deficits, including attention to operational accuracy and efficiency.
• Making systemic modifications to ensure compliance and efficiency between new programs and existing software capabilities.
• Maintaining and updating website functions, Suggesting and Experimenting with new emerging technologies such as AJAX, Ruby on Rails.
• Maintaining and backing up the large scale backend database which compromise of over 100,000 members, and 10,000 affiliates ensuring security and reliability.
• Adhering to project schedules to ensure deliverables are on time.

Outscope (UK based Web Design Development Company)

Mahen worked (Full-Time) with Outscope from 03/06/2002 to 25/07/2005.

During Mahen’s service with us I admired him for his many valuable qualities, and regarded him with evermore respect.  Very goal oriented, Mahen was always easygoing.  Mahen demonstrated from early in his tenure that he understood what our business is all about. He was well organized and thrived under adversity. He was quite aware of the bottom line. I suppose doing well in business is easy if you are, as he was, driven in equal measure by both quality and efficiency.

I would like to be very clear about why Mahen is no longer with us.  Mahen is available for new challenges only because of his desire to learn and grow further. We would have loved to see him stay, but certainly understand his need to advance beyond the positions we have available.

In closing, let me say I have no hesitation in recommending Mahen Mudalige for any position pertaining to information technology.  I feel confident he would be an asset to any organization in any country.
